ปรบมือรัวๆ - วันที่ 24 มี.ค. เดอะสตาร์ รายงานว่า ตันสรี มูห์ยิดดิน ยัสซิน นายกรัฐมนตรีมาเลเซีย แถลงว่าจะเร่งแจก หน้ากากอนามัย จำนวน 10 ล้านชิ้น ให้แก่ประชาชนแบบฟรีๆ ภายหลังสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของ โควิด-19 ยังวิกฤต มาเลเซียมียอดผู้ป่วยสะสมเพิ่มขึ้นต่อเนื่องเป็นอย่างน้อย 1,518 คน ในจำนวนนี้เสียชีวิตแล้วกว่า 14 คน
“ผมได้สั่งการให้สำนักงานจัดการภัยพิบัติแห่งชาติประสานงานและสร้างความมั่นใจว่าจะนำเข้าหน้ากากอนามัยโดยเร็วที่สุดเท่าที่จะเป็นไปได้” นายกฯ มูห์ยิดดินชี้แจงถึงมาตรการนำเข้าหน้ากากอนามัยจำนวน 10 ล้านชิ้นจากประเทศจีน ภายหลังประชุมฉุกเฉินร่วมกับสภาเศรษฐกิจแห่งชาติ เมื่อวันจันทร์ที่ 23 มี.ค.ที่ผ่านมา
และว่าเมื่อรัฐบาลได้รับหน้ากากอนามัยแล้วก็จะเร่งแจกจ่ายให้ชาวมาเลเซียทุกคนที่จำเป็นต้องใช้ โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆ และว่านี่เป็นนโยบายช่วยเหลือของรัฐบาลที่ส่งตรงถึงประชาชนในช่วงเวลาที่ยากลำบากเช่นนี้

ขณะเดียวกัน นายมูห์ยิดดินระบุถึงปัญหาราคาหน้ากากอนามัยที่ปรับตัวสูงขึ้นจากเดิมที่จำหน่ายในราคา 0.80 ริงกิตมาเลเซีย หรือราว 6 บาท เป็น 2 ริงกิตมาเลเซีย หรือราว 15 บาท ว่า กระทรวงการค้าภายในและคุ้มครองผู้บริโภคกำลังเร่งตรวจสอบกรณีราคาหน้ากากอนามัย และจะแก้ไขเพื่อให้ความเป็นธรรมแก่ประชาชน
“ในช่วงวิกฤต ราคาของหน้ากากอนามัยไม่ควรสูงเกินไป ผมหวังว่าโรงงานจะยังเดินหน้าผลิตหน้ากากและจำหน่ายในราคาที่สมเหตุสมผล” นายกฯ มาเลเซียกล่าวย้ำ
