โสมใต้ซื้อวัคซีน “โนวาแว็กซ์” - วันที่ 16 ก.พ. รอยเตอร์และ สเตรตส์ไทมส์ รายงานว่า นายกรัฐมนตรีชุง เซคยุน ผู้นำเกาหลีใต้ แถลงว่ารัฐบาลทำข้อตกลงซื้อ วัคซีนป้องกันโรคโควิด-19 เพิ่มเติมเพื่อฉีดให้กับประชาชน 23 ล้านคน

 

ในจำนวนนี้ 20 ล้านคนจะได้รับวัคซีนของโนวาแว็กซ์ บริษัทเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพของสหรัฐอเมริกา ซึ่งมีประสิทธิภาพป้องกันไวรัสมรณะถึง 89.3% และอีก 3 ล้านคนจะได้รับวัคซีนของไฟเซอร์-บิออนเทค วัคซีนพัฒนาร่วมระหว่างสหรัฐและเยอรมนี

 

ด้านโนวาแว็กซ์ระบุว่าเมื่อวันจันทร์ที่ 15 ก.พ. บริษัทได้ลงนามกับโรงงานเอสเค ไบโอไซแอนซ์ ในเกาหลีใต้ เพื่อเดินหน้าผลิตวัคซีนของโนวาแว็กซ์ 40 ล้านโดส “เอสเค ไบโอไซแอนซ์ ได้สรุปข้อตกลงการซื้อล่วงหน้ากับรัฐบาลเกาหลีเพื่อจัดหาวัคซีน NVX-CoV2373 จำนวน 40 ล้านโดสเมื่อต้นปี 2564” บริษัทโนวาแวกซ์ระบุในแถลงการณ์

 

ขณะที่ศูนย์ควบคุมและป้องกันโรคแห่งชาติของเกาหลีใต้ (ซีดีซี) แถลงความคืบหน้าสถานการณ์โรคโควิด-19 ในประเทศว่าพบผู้ป่วยใหม่อีก 456 คน ส่งผลให้ยอดรวมผู้ติดเชื้อเพิ่มเป็น 84,325 คน และเสียชีวิต 1,534 ราย
